New Beginnings

"Life is a succession of Moments. To live each one is to Succeed."

I have decided to take this writing shenanigans a bit more seriously. At least, that's the plan.

School and its curses of endless term papers is coming to an end -- December 4, 2009 to be exact, but who's counting?! And so, my English professors have come up with this crazy theory - "to write well, one must practice, practice, practice!" From the day you sign your life away to the school of Arts & Sciences, English Department, this theory haunts you, so much so that it becomes your CREED! Not gonna lie, it's kinda scary. The thing is that, when you see yourself an arms length away of grabbing that diploma, you question yourself, NOW what?

My interpretation - in order to succeed in a career that entails any writing or form of expression I need to practice, practice, practice... right?

Right!

Just one problem. Blogging is COMPLETELY different from formal writing. In fact, if formal writing was (geographically speaking) the north pole, blogging would be considered the moon!! Thought I was gonna say south pole, didn't you? ...Not a chance. In this case, I need to define what I'm really trying to do here...

Blogging can be a mess of things : a diary, a picture collection, a community of posts and polls or just instant publishing for any author. Can blogging be journalism? It can be, of course! To say that a blog is any one thing is to misunderstand what a blog is.

So here goes nothing. An innocent attempt to continue writing well and efficiently as I capture life by the day. Care to join?
